I know I am way behind on posting my weekly pictures. The baby had a great first Christmas and he/she isn’t even in the world yet! The baby got lots of awesome gifts that I know it will love once he/she sees them. We got an awesome knitted hat from my mom (she said it took forever to make but she wanted it to be ready on Christmas so badly), we also got some socks, booties, cute little hat, a onsie, a burp cloth, our first Clemson pacifier, a sweet book from Hayes, a rubber ducky, and the sweetest stuffed animal/blanket that is so soft. I am sure this will be the baby’s favorite! We find out if it is a boy or a girl on January 15th at 8:30. We will be posting after that his/her name! Pray that it cooperates and spreads its legs!

Baby Update

I now have an at home fetal heartbeat monitor. It is so great to be able to hear Baby in there moving round and hear the little eartbeat. It is usually between 147 and 160 beats per minute. I felt it move for the first time on Monday after I broke the rules and had a diet coke. This baby likes diet coke. I have felt it a few times since then on and off. Tonight before Jay got home it felt like the baby was doing the tango in my belly. It is so cool to feel thoses little pops that I know are hands and feet kicking around. Only one more month until we know if this baby is a boy or a girl!
I went to the doctor’s office today just to make sure that everything was going ok with the baby. Now that I feel normal again I have no way of knowing that everything is ok with the baby. We have had so much trouble in the past that I still have trouble believing that everything will be OK with this child. The people that work in the doctors office are so sweet and they take good care of me. They let me come in to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Today it was at 160 beats per minute. The old wives tale is that anything over 150 is a girl. We will see in January if this is correct or not. I have asked Jay to buy me a fetal heart beat monitor for Christmas so hopefully he will get on that soon (AKA now Jay!)

I have a friend at work who had her sweet baby last year. Michelle’s baby wanted to come into this world early so Michelle’s clothes are super cute and tons of them still had tags on them. I am so thankful for these clothes, because I only had a few pairs of pants to get me through the work week. Thanks to Michelle I now have a closet full of super cute clothes. I keep adding to the collection so Michelle will have even more when she is ready to try for number 2! Thanks so much for loaning me your super cute clothes!
