31 weeks

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant as of today. Everything is going great! I feel so much better than I thought I would at this point in time. The nursery is almost complete. I have such amazing friends. I have had three showers this month and gotten so much great stuff. The last shower was at school and it was a diaper shower. What a great shower. I think everyone should have one of these. I now have an assortment of diapers from newborn to size 3. I have been in the nursery this week trying to make sure that I have everything organized and ready. I have decided more storage is a must. My 6 baskets are not nearly enough for all my baby stuff. I have updated all my belly pictures in the baby gallery. I really haven’t gotten much bigger lately. I have been going to the doctor every two weeks and he says everything is going great. He still keeps switching between wanting to induce me or letting me go to my due date. I wish he would just decide (and I am leaning towards being induced!) Jay and I have chosen our pediatrician and are very happy with our choice. It is a little bit of a drive, but for Kennedy it will be worth it.

Current Kennedy Stats:
31 Weeks pregnant
7 3/4 months pregnant
9 weeks (63 days) until my due date
6 weeks (42 days) until she is full term
I have been pregnant for 217 days.

This is a picture of Potter bonding with his sister.  His head was getting knocked all over the place and he didn’t seem to mind.  We are hoping he is going to be a good big brother.

29 weeks

I am now 29 weeks into my pregnancy and counting. So far the third trimester isn’t too bad. I am a whole lot more tired and find myself napping everyday. My feet getting very achy by the end of the day, but not swollen too bad yet. My hands however are getting a little bigger. Friday I couldn’t get my engagement ring on. I am still feeling great otherwise. I go back to the doctor on Monday and start going every other week. He said that he will see me at 29 weeks, 31 week, and 33 weeks, then I will start to see him every week. Nothing like living at the doctors office. Usually my visits are very quick so I don’t have to take time off work. Jay and I are going to interview a pediatrician on Tuesday. The pediatrician we are talking to actually lived across the street from Jay when he was growing up. I’m looking hoping to have another ultrasound soon to recheck Kennedy’s thyroid. I would love to see how much she has grown.

We had a shower last weekend with my great friend Kelly, Mary, Jennifer, and Lauren and my step-mom and Dad. It was awesome and we got tons of really cool stuff. Some of the hghlites of the shower were of course seeing all our good friends. I saw one of my friends that I haven’t seen since my wedding day. We decided we need to get together more often than just the highlites of our lives. Some of our really cool presents were an exersaucer, a travel system (stroller, carseat, and base), some awesome clothes, blankets, towels, stuffed animals, a bumbo, a video monitor, a normal monitor (yes I wanted both), an awesome diaper bag, a gift card to have pottery footprints done when the baby is born, diaper genie, a baby gate that will give our first born free run of the house while keep Kennedy out of stuff, bottles, bottle warmer, toys, and tons of other really awesome things. We have two more showers to go. One from the work girls on next Sunday and one at work the end of March.

We have some really exciting things planned for the next couple of weeks. We were going out to St Patty’s day in 5 points today but BRRRR too cold. Next weekend we are taking a trip to the beach with a lot of our friends. The following weekend is the carolina cup. I really hope that it is warm enough for us to go then. I have two big field trips coming up at work. I’m hoping I can be helpful on them. One is to the zoo and one is to Special Olympics. We are hoping to win most spirited school again.

Third trimester, snow days, and unpaid bills

As of Saturday I am in my third trimester. I immediatly began getting heartburn and indegestion on that day. Everyone told me that once you get into the third trimester everything goes downhill. I now have trouble doing simple tasks like painting my toenails, putting on my shoes, and picking up things I drop (and I drop stuff quite often.) My classroom now has two confirmed cases of the flu and 2 stomach viruses. I only had two students on Friday! Try keeping two students structured and busy all day.

We just got word that the district has called off school tomorrow due to all the snow. It was suposed to start snowing at 4:00. Currently it is 6:30 and I have seen no snow. Guess that means we will even have a harder time making up our hours.

As for paying bills, Bank of America has increased their online security. You would think that this would be a good things, except for the fact that now I can’t get into my own account to pay my bills. I have tried several times all weekend just to get locked out. They email me an unlock code and it doesn’t work. They ask me a secruity question and tell me that my answer is wrong. I want to call and yell….Jay won’t let me. Currently I have 6 bills due by Friday and no way to pay them. Boy technology is not my friend.

As for March being here my calendar is busy, busy, busy. I like to stay busy so that time goes by faster. This month we have two showers, St. Patricks day in 5 points, and the carolina cup. I can’t wait!
