I have so much to be thankful for and I’m pretty sure there isn’t enough room here to type it all!
1. My little family. When Jay married me I thought I was so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. Jay, Potter, and I lived I happily just the three of us for 3 years before we started feeling like something was missing. On January 1, 2008 we started trying connceive. It was a bumpy road but as of May 14th we bacame a happy family of 4. I am so thankful to have a happy healthy poodle, a loving sweet husband who puts up with me day in and day out, and of course for Kennedy. Our family is complete with her in it. I am so thankful that Kennedy is in our life. I am so thankful that I had a pretty calm pregnancy. I am so thankful that Kennedy arrived full term. I am so thankful that she is a happy and healthy little girl.
2. I am so thankful to have such a huge family that I get along with so well. I am so thankful for my my mom and Scott who live near me. I am so thankful that Kennedy will get to grow up knowing her Papa Scott and her DeeDee. I am so thankful that my mom and I have gotten closer since Kennedy has joined our life. I am so thankful for my sister and that she found her other half in the world. I can’t wait for Kai to become part of our family. I am so thankful for my dad and Barb. It is so awesome to see my big, tough Dad just melt when he is around Kennedy. She is such a lucky girl to have so many wonderful grandparents. I am so thankful that Barb has joined our life and that she brings a smile to my Dad’s face every day. I am so thankful for “Miss” Dottie and Dr. B. They are great inlaws and I am so thankful and lucky to have married into such a great family. They love Jay so much and they treated me like family long before Jay and I said I Do. I am also thankful for Jennifer, Stroh, Meredeth, Kyle, and of course Hayes. I love being part of a big family. I am also thankful for Grangran, Bib, and Rosemary. I grew up knowing my great grandparents and I want Kennedy to know hers.
3. I am so thankful for my job and co-workers. Although being a teacher is a roller coaster (this year more than any). I love Autism and knew for a long time that I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching students with Autism. I am so thankful to have Laura, Alphea, and Jenny in my classroom. Together we make a great team and whether they are playing roles as my friends, mothers, or co-workers, they make a difference in my life and in the lives of the students we teach.
4. I am thankful for a roof over my head, food on the table, and my health. I am so thankful for the ability to nurse Kennedy and give her all the food she needs through me.
On a different note…. the Christmas tree is up. So far it makes Kennedy coo and drool!
