Sadly I only have 3 more weeks home with Kennedy. I am trying to enjoy every moment of it. I thought that by the time I went back to school I would have Kennedy on a schedule and in her crib. Well it turns out that I hate schedules and I’m too lazy to walk to the nursery in the middle of the night.
Most likely, on August 13, Kennedy will still be eating on demand and sleeping wherever and whenever the urge hits.

The good news: Kennedy has woken up from two nights and 6 naps with BOTH eyes wide open. Are the eyes on the mend???

On Friday Mama, Kennedy, and I went shopping and to Moe’s before I met with the pastor about Kennedy’s upcoming baptism. Friday night Kennedy, Jay and I went to eat at the Japanese steakhouse to celebrate Michelle’s 30th birthday. It was so nice seeing her and meeting all her friends. I should have a fun “click here” of all our pictures from Saturday night. I charged the camera and was ready for photo ops of Kennedy with the Jamison crew. Well camera I had, memory card I did not. Oops. So I will just tell you Kennedy had a great time meeting everyone at Clint’s house warming party. She also met her future husbands Preston and Conner. She left the party at ten and hung out with Papa Lovett and Barb. We came home at 1:00AM to feed and get to bed. On Sunday Mama came over to keep Kennedy while Jay and I went to see the new Harry Potter movie. It was great and I must say it was nice to have some Target, movie, and Moe’s time without Baby K.

Sadly this weekend was not all fun. Friday night my sister’s two horses were struck by lightning. As many of you know, Lauren and I had horses the whole time we were growing up. Almost every fun memory I have as a child involve our two horses Sparky and Spotty. As many of you know, we had to put Sparky down in 2008 at the age of 28(?) due to heart troubles. It killed me to see my little buddy go. Spotty was much Older (over 30). He was a cancer survivor as well as a strong willed brave guy. He was a beautiful horse to say the least. Those two horses raised us. My sister had just bought her newest horse, Lakota, a little over a year ago. He was a sweet horse with a great personality. Lauren had said she was training him for Kennedy. Sadly, both Lakota and Spotty were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope Sparky, Spotty, and Lakota are running through fields of green in pony heaven. You will be missed Spotty and Lakota!
