And in your top news today

3Kennedy is into everything! EVERYTHING! I can’t turn my back on her for a second without finding her in the dogs toys! This crawling stuff is keeping me busy. She always crawls right past her toys and either goes for Mommy and Daddy’s shoes, Potter’s toys, or Potter himself. To say the least I am glad his teeth are rotten or we would have a dog bite or two on our hands! We went back to have her Doc Band checked this week and things are looking great. We are hoping for only two more months! I can’t wait to snuggle without a hat:( My goal is to get her into the Doc Band Calendar. We took some pictures today. Hopefully I will be able to show those to you soon! It is very funny the questions and comments I get about the Doc Band. Some are nice. Some are curious. And some are mean. It has been called a “Gaudy hat”, a crown, and a decoration. People have asked if she bumped her head, had surgery, or if it was something all new walkers were wearing to prevent injury. Overall Kennedy loves her hat and I am really starting to get used to it. She is beautiful with or without it!

My new favorite song

I have found a new song which really speaks to me. Since hearing it for the first time yesterday I have listened to it like 30 times. It really speaks to me. It make me think. It makes me laugh. It makes me smile. I have had a HARD week and this is just the type song I need to hear when I am feeling down.

Art and crafts

Kennedy and I have been very busy this week. Kennedy got her new “hat” on Wednesday. She got it at 10:30 in Charlotte. At first it was too tight in the front and she looked like a mad baby. They got that fixed a few hours later and sent us home. That night I painted the “hat” pink. Kennedy immediatly scratched the paint off. Thursday we found ourselves going back to Charlotte after a few red spots wouldn’t disappear. Finally Friday I was able to decorate the hat. I added paint, glitter, her name and some other cool stuff. Finally Saturday I was able to monogram again:)

Past, Present, and Future

When I was a child I had a very special blanket. Well actually I had two very special blankets that were identical. They have little critters all over them that say “Critter Sitters Love Babies”. These blankets have been washed most likely a thousand times during their life. Long after I had outgrown my blanet I kept it safe. It was always tucked in a corner of my house waiting for someone new to love it. I figured Kennedy would have no interest in my dear “yaa yaa” blanket seeing as how it isn’t cute, it isn’t fuzzy, and it has no cute monogram on it. As you can see from this picture I was wrong! yahyah
