Day 14 AND 15

I am thankful for 2 pumps! 1 lives at work and 1 at home. Much better for this unorganized mama!

I am also thankful for Christmas traditions. I can’t wait for a silly little elf named Catie to move in next Wednesday night! I can’t wait to help Catie (and her new naughty friend Catherine straight off of amazon) get into trouble! So excited for our reindeer food and cookies for Santa, pjs to open the night before, and a few new ones I found on pinterest! Ah, the joys of the season!

Day 13

I am so thankful for my marriage. Jay gets me. We took a test on different love languages. We got one language the same. We like to spend quality time together. We spend a
Lot of time together and really, beyond working, we spend all our time together. Today we had a great day. Church (we had to leave early because Parker was really not feeling it), picnic lunch, playing in the park, tv time while the girls napped, then shopping together. I really don’t know many men that will do that every weekend! I love you Jay!

Day 11

Today I am thankful for learning! There are always opportunities for learning and growth especially in the field of Autism. The past 2 days I went to a training. Much of it was review but SO much new stuff was presented. I loved every minute of it. I love learning new stuff to use in my classroom.

In this class we were given a language assessment tool. I was curious about kennedy’s language development. She scored around the 4 year old mark on this one assessment! Here are my favorite Kennedy answers:)

Q: what can you drink? A: milk, juice, or water. Mama drink diet coke

Q: who is your teacher A: you mama

Q: what is the shape of wheels A: a circle (I was impressed!)

Q: what makes you sad? A: when (insert peers name) ripped a book.

Q: tell me something that is not a food A: birdfood. Food for bird, not food for me

Q: where do you put your dirty clothes? A: on the floor then mama puts them in the dishwasher

Q: what is something you can’t wear? A: wet panties, that’s yucky! gotta wear clean ones

Q: what do you do before Bed A: I say (squeaky voice) “no mama I don’t want to”

She’s so witty! Some answers I was impressed she got right like whats something that’s sticky, what are some hot things, what’s above a house, what can sting you, what shape are wheels, and many more. 57 others to be exact!

Day 10

I’m thankful for birthdays! Happy birthday Jennifer! Happy birthday Parker! (2 months today!). Happy Birthday Harry Potter! I cant believe your 9. 9 whole years! You are such a good dog and good friend. I know you’re not a huge fan of kids and well, we keep having kids, but Kennedy truly loves you and I know you love her too. Thanks for being such a good doggie!

Day 9

I am thankful for Mrs Sherry. She can have a rough day with your child but still make you fill like yours is her favorite. She uses words such as strong willed rather than stubborn. She makes you fill like your child is the most verbal child she has ever taught (or maybe she really is!). She reports your child’s day with humor rather than frustration. She isn’t afraid to tell you that she had to take you argumentative 2 year old into her closet because she was being SO loud during rest. Yes, I am beyond thankful for Mrs Sherry and her notes she sends home daily! I am so thankful she has room for Parker too!

Day 8

Im thankful for sleep. I truly miss it when it is gone! Yesterday Parker was up at 3:45. I got her back down at 4:30. Then Kennedy was up at 4:55. She crawled and rolled around until 5:40. Then at 6:00 my alarm went off. Needless to say I fell asleep sitting up pumping. This was a rough night. I know it will get better. We are so blessed and I am thankful to have a baby who sleeps as well as she does.
